European STEAM Panel Focuses on Future Skills for Students
The European Commission has launched a new STEAM Executive Panel bringing together experts from education, business and other stakeholder organisations. The panel will provide strategic advice on strengthening science, technology, engineering and mathematics education while connecting these disciplines with arts, humanities and social sciences. Its work will focus on helping learners develop skills relevant to a rapidly changing labour market and encouraging stronger cooperation between educational institutions and employers. The initiative reflects growing interest in interdisciplinary education, where technical knowledge is combined with creativity, communication and broader social perspectives. The panel is expected to hold its first in-person meeting in Brussels in October 2026.
