Europe Examines More Inclusive and Balanced Student Mobility
A new European study is examining how learning mobility can become more balanced and inclusive across Europe. Published by the European Education Area, the study looks at both degree mobility and temporary credit mobility, including study and traineeship periods abroad through programmes such as Erasmus+. The study highlights the educational value of studying abroad while also examining how opportunities and costs are distributed among students, universities, regions and countries. It emphasizes that increasing mobility should go together with accessibility and sustainability, particularly for learners who may have fewer opportunities to participate in international study experiences. The findings are intended to support future approaches to European learning mobility and strengthen opportunities for students to gain international experience and develop new skills.
