ELTE Welcomes International Students for the New Academic Year
Eötvös Loránd University welcomed its international students during the opening of the 392nd academic year in Budapest.
The university's international opening ceremony brought together several hundred international students, university leaders, ambassadors and diplomats. ELTE currently hosts around 5,300 international students from 120 countries and offers more than 100 programmes in foreign languages.
The event included academic presentations, cultural activities, a folk dance performance and an information market designed to help international students become familiar with university life and available opportunities.
The event reflects the growing international character of European higher education and the importance of creating an inclusive academic community for students from around the world.
